JUNIOR DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY
Murray High School is a co-educational state secondary school in Albury, New South Wales, Australia.
The school opened in 1976 to meet the needs of the growing suburb of Lavington. It was named after
the Murray River which flows through Albury and forms the border between the states of NSW and Victoria.

Design & Technology is the compulsory foundation course in the Technological and Applied
Studies key learning area and is studied by all junior high school students. At Murray High School it
is studied for 2.5 hours each week throughout Years 7 & 8. Design & Technology focuses on learning
about technology through using technology. Students undertake the design, construction and evaluation
of a number of design projects selected from the following technology context areas: * Agriculture
* Built Environment * Clothing & Accessories * Engineered Systems * Food * Health
& Welfare * Information & Communication * Leisure & Lifestyle * Manufacturing * Transport
& Distribution.
The purpose of this web site is to: 1) Publish the design project work
undertaken by students to give them public recognition and encouragement for excellence. 2) Provide
an electronic communication medium between students and teachers. 3) Provide internet resource links
to assist in the research and investigation of design projects.
4) Provide
self-paced web-based units of work for junior Design & Technology classes.
